A new version of the game is now available: build 1.0.14
This build, from a user’s perspective only adds a new cheat: to remove the race based level limits, that was requested by Pope.
I have been feeling bad about the status of the port recently.
Behind the scenes I have been renaming and cleaning-up the code. I have also started getting the project to build under mono, so it could be played on Linux or Mac OS X (the primary target of the two).
I’m torn between making it a stand-alone application, that looks native (as it presently is, but cross platform), or using Silverlight 2.0 and keeping it single targeted.
Thank you!
You welcome.
I found the code, while refactoring and thought, why not!
Working under mono would really rock. I tried under wine and something was fundamentally broken or missing (I think it had to do with logger/logging… I forget…)..
Keep up the good work mate.
How do I run this? I’ve run the install program and it doesn’t appear to do anything. Any ideas?
Ah yes, it has no shortcut, or UI on the Installer, but, if you look into “Program Files\Curse of the Azure Bonds\main.exe” is what you want to run.
Ah, gotcha. Any idea if this program isn’t compatible with Vista? It immediately locks when I start it. I tried to run it with DOSBox on the off chance it played nice with an emulator but no dice.
I have not done any testing on Vista, but I don’t see any reason it would work, it’s a simple .Net application.
This version most definitely will not run in DOSBox, however the original run fine.
I also assume you are running build 1.0.17 or 1.0.18 (released yesterday, with Installer UI and short-cut)
